How to go about a basic detox cleanse

Your body is your possession and keeping it healthy and clean from inside out is your responsibility. Detoxification and cleansing of the body is essential for being in the vibrant health and there are many options available for you to choose which help in the process of detoxification. The majority prefers a natural detox cleanse to focus more on wellness and health instead of just cleansing the body at the cost of health. For your benefit here a few useful tips are shared for safe detoxification and cleansing of the body.

This study suggests that green smoothies are an easy way to do something good for the body and provide it with sufficient vitamins. Especially now in winter I appreciate green smoothies even more, because due to the high nutrient density in green leafy vegetables we can easily meet our vitamin needs and strengthen our immune system quite naturally. If you regularly rely on green smoothies in your diet, it’s not hard to get to the recommended 5-6 servings of fruits and vegetables every day.

I have three delicious winter smoothie recipes for you today. All three recipes are formulated to provide that extra energy kick. In the afternoon, for example, a green smoothie is perfect for waking up tired spirits and gently activating our stalled metabolism.

If you’re craving a little relief these days, why not swap your usual breakfast for a green smoothie in the morning? Contrary to some opinions, a green smoothie keeps you full for a long time and, in my opinion, tastes especially delicious on an empty stomach. In addition, it stimulates the intestinal activity and thus provides in a natural way for relief. The whole thing also works great as a smoothie bowl, if you prefer to “spoon” the smoothie. For a smoothie bowl, simply reduce the amount of liquid accordingly to get a firmer consistency.

detox cleanse tip:

The more bitter your smoothie, the more effective it will be at detoxing. Bitters stimulate our digestive activity by stimulating the release of bile and pancreatic juices, and assist in the elimination of toxins naturally. You can find a number of bitter substances in chicory, radiccio, dandelion, grapefruit or bitter oranges, for example.

When preparing a green smoothie, however, a few minor “rules” should be observed. For example, sugar or other sweeteners never belong in a green smoothie – and I also do not recommend combining root vegetables such as carrots or milk or plant milk in a green smoothie. This combination is less digestible for our organism and in some cases can lead to bloating and intolerance.

About what fits in green smoothies, what fits less well and why also the right mix ratio (proportion of fruit to vegetables) plays an important role, I have already written in detail in this article.

In any case, however, can be concluded: The regular consumption of green smoothies is worthwhile. And even if the mix ratio is not quite optimal at the beginning, for example because you have to get used to the taste of “green”, this should not be a reason not to drink green smoothies. Try a little with different flavors.

What should you eat

A proper detox cleanse is directly associated with your eating so you must be very careful about it when you are on your track to cleanse the body. You should drink purified water and fiber intake should be increased as well as it aids the body to expel the toxins and harmful substances out of the body. Fruits and vegetables are a good source of fiber so eat fresh fruits specially cranberries, apples, oranges, and use lemon as well to aid the natural detox cleanse you are using.

What you should not eat

There are certain things that need to be avoided when you are trying to cleanse your body because these things make the cleansing process slow and can reduce the efficacy of a natural detox cleanse as well. Eggs, dairy products and meat intake should be reduced during the process of body cleansing and detoxification. All sodas, margarine, white flour consumption should be minimized. Cut down the amount of saturated fats is also helpful in this regard.

What you can expect

When you choose to detoxify the body from unhealthy harmful substances there are certain things that you should keep in mind a few things so that you don’t get panic when you experience them. Weight loss is a common symptom that is experienced by those who detoxify their body, and mostly the use of a natural detox cleanse is for healthy weight loss. Headache, irritability, fatigue, congestion and a few other symptoms are experienced as well because certain changes take place in the body when toxins excrete out of the body.

Tip 1: If you need to blend for significantly longer than 90 seconds, add ice cubes or use ice cold water to keep the smoothie from heating up too much.

Tip 2: We sometimes use very fibrous leafy greens for our recipes, such as wild herbs and parsley. With these ingredients, a kitchen blender very quickly reaches its performance limit. Result: less creamy smoothies. We therefore recommend that you replace these ingredients with leafy greens that are easier to puree, such as baby spinach, lamb’s lettuce or lettuce.
