Skin is our largest organ, and yet it is one that so many of us forget to take care of as well as we should. We douse it with fragrances, lotions, and other beauty products that contain an amazing amount of chemicals, many of which have been proven to cause cancer (like parabans for example). The best way to nourish our skin is the same way we nourish the rest of our body–from the inside out, with fresh fruits and vegetables and plenty of good fats. There are also several ways to feed your skin from the outside too that are easy, cheap, and all natural. Here’s how to get glowing skin with the following tips


Body Brushing: A wonderful way to detox your body, great for your lymph system, nervous and circulatory systems, dry body brushing is best done once a day to three times a week, preferably before taking a bath or shower. Using a loofah or natural bristle brush, and start at your feet. Brush toward the heart in circular movements for five minutes. Citrus fruits, in particular, contain high levels of vitamins A, C, and E, which are considered reliable antioxidants. Small tip: If you can’t eat fruit every day, you can also ensure a good supply of vitamins by taking targeted supplements.

Exfoliate regularly. The better the microcirculation in the functions of the cells, the more beautiful the skin looks. This is because an increased blood flow results in an optimal supply of oxygen and nutrients. All you need to do for this are regular peelings. The highlight: The rubbing cures stimulate metabolic activity and remove the unsightly winter gray haze at the same time. Especially in the winter months, two peelings a week are therefore ideal.

Drink a lot. A good supply of hydro makes the skin cells plump so that the complexion looks smooth and fresh. In addition, incident daylight can be reflected better on a smooth skin surface, giving the skin more radiance. Good to know: Intensive moisturizing is essential but not always sufficient. The cells also need to be supplied with water from the inside. The more regularly we drink, the more beautiful our skin becomes.

Small tip: With tasty teas or squeezed lemons juice, you bring variety into the glass. There are also special vitamin teas that supply the body with valuable nutrients.

Radiate with paleness. A beautiful glow is always created on the skin when the incandescent light is reflected and thus acts as a beautiful glow. The same applies to the skin as with all surfaces: a pale complexion develops more luminosity than dark skin because the latter tends to absorb incident light. Winter pallor is therefore perfect for more luminosity.

Also, make sure you wear regular UV protection. Because too intensive sun consumption not only makes the skin darker (and thus less radiant) but also causes pigment spots to develop. Especially in summer, consistent UV protection is also essential in everyday life. And in winter: be happy about the distinguished pallor; after all, we are now glowing more beautifully than ever!


Warm baths are highly underrated. They soften the skin, relax the muscles and release stress from the body, mind, and emotions. Plus you can add all sorts of wonderful things to them– milk to soften skin, sea salt to soothe sore muscles, a tea of herbs such as lavender, mint, rose petals, chamomile, lemongrass, orange rinds to leave you smelling sweet and and all natural.
